Elizabeth (Liz) Haynie
Financial Planning Analyst
My career in personal finance began with the first share of stock I ever bought, which was for a little known (at the time) company called NVIDIA. I had no clue whether the stock would be successful only that they had invested the GPU, a small microchip that was gaining popularity quickly. After I sold the shares and realized a profit, my interest was piqued. I wanted to learn more about investment planning and decided to pursue a career in this field.
Of course, my story started long before this. I grew up in New Braunfels, TX where for many summers I floated the river and visited Schlitterbahn Waterpark. In high school, I transferred to a magnet performing arts program called NESA at Lee High School. There, I grew my communication skills and decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Political Communication. While studying at the University of Texas at Austin, I became the first woman to receive venture capital funding from a student group called Genesis. This funding helped me create an IBM Watson chatbot which educated users on the legal and regulatory processes related to starting a business.
Through this experience, I developed a great appreciation for entrepreneurship and business planning. After graduation, I worked for a tech startup called Easy Expunctions where I gained experience in project/product management becoming an Agile Certified Practitioner.
In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, coding, and studying for industry exams. I also enjoy spending time with my boyfriend Daniel, our dog named Dasha, and my family whom I am very close to.
As a financial planning analyst, I look forward to helping you achieve a work-optional lifestyle. We will do this by taking you on the “financial planning journey”, analyzing what you have, and creating a plan to help you get what you want.
